Corum held the "2024 Summer Fun with Corum Beach Cleanup!" event on August 23. During this cleanup, we collected a total of 100 kilograms of marine debris, helping to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 0.206 metric tons. This fully demonstrates Corum's long-term commitment to environmental protection. This was our second beach cleanup event this year, and in total, we have reduced 0.520 metric tons of CO2 emissions in 2024 by clearing 252.6 kilograms of debris. Although the numbers may seem small, we hope that more people and organizations will join us in the future. Together, our collective efforts will be greater. We will continue to work towards this goal and expand the impact of our activities.
Corum wholeheartedly thank all the participating partners for preserving the beauty and health of Zhongjiao Bay Beach together. We will continue to hold beach cleanups and encourage more people to join. Last but not least, we specially thank to the cleaning team in Jinshan District and the staff of Zhongjiaowan Visitor Center for their assistance.
According to the Taiwan Carbon Footprint Information Platform of the Environmental Protection Administration, for every 1 kilogram of garbage output reduction (1 kilogram of recycled waste), about 2.06 kilograms of CO2e emissions are reduced.
