Corum’s Art in Science Award (previously called Art Promotion Award) is a unique local art competition in Taiwan that mainly involves the disadvantaged students with age 6-18 in certain social welfare organizations. This year we continuously cooperate with Xin Chuan Nonprofit Organization in Chiayi, and further cooperate with a nonprofit organization named Reindeer Children Home in Taoyuan. The competition is divided into four groups by ranges of age for each organization. This year is the 2nd Art in Science Award with the theme “Hi Vitamins, It's Nice to Meet You!” Altogether 105 students with their artworks are taking part in the competition.
We are very happy to invite you to vote for your favorite at the following survey website: https://reurl.cc/QWVdz2 The student with the most votes will be awarded with the Online Popularity Award. On top of that, this year we would also like to invite you to leave messages, reviews or thoughts on the artwork you vote for, and we will share with the students. We hope to promote children’s interest in learning science, explore new possibilities at the artistic innovation level, and bring social attention to them. As we know, being visible and “out there” is somehow important in today’s busy environment.
Art in Science Award jury consists of the chairman of Association for Education through Art of the Republic of China An-Lai Lu, the chairman of Chiayi Artists Association De-Ge Wang, and the principle of Chiayi County Xingang Elementary School Jin-Lang Yen. According to the jury, the artworks presented at the competition this year give a good overview of vitamins’ benefits to human body, the importance of a balanced diet, and the links between vitamins and certain diseases. In addition, there are not only drawings but also collage and some interesting mediums in the selection.
The voting for Online Popularity Award takes place from now to 8am (GMT+8) on 20 December at the survey website, so be sure to take a peek and cast your ballots soon! The jury will select the winners of Champion, Runner Up, Third Place, Merit and Honorable for each group. The winners will receive monetary prizes, certificates and presents.
Last but not least, as 2022 draws to a close, Corum would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Happy Holidays. Please don’t forget to check out the artworks and vote for your favorite!
